Nurturing change through impactful engagement with the United Nations

The International Public Policy Institute (IPPI) operates as a non-governmental organization (NGO) in association with the United Nations. It serves as a representative of civil society within the UN through the Department of Global Communications and ECOSOC.

IPPI has been instrumental in sponsoring parallel events during the Commission on the Status of Women held every March in New York City. These events provide a platform for community and grassroots organizations to voice their perspectives on the critical issue of violence against women and girls.

Our events delve into topics such as the outcomes of certified batterer intervention programs, best practices for supporting sex trafficking survivors for victim service providers and law enforcement, and the impact of climate change with the exploitation of women and girls worldwide.

A core commitment of IPPI lies in introducing young people to the United Nations through the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW). Through the generosity of donors and scholarship opportunities, students from different parts of the United States are able to participate in the CSW.

This transformative experience has a profound impact, reshaping their perception of what they can achieve in the world. It empowers them by showcasing possibilities and envisioning themselves in influential roles.
